Jason Aldean Celebrates "The Truth" With Nashville Party
Jason Aldean is celebrating the chart-topping success of his hit "The Truth." CMT.com says the singer was on hand for a party in honor of the song and it's co-writer Ashley Monroe at the BMI office in Nashville on Monday. At the event Aldean told the story of when he first heard the track, which Monroe wrote with Brett James. He said he listened to the demo in his car with his producer Michael Knox, who found the song, and noted, quote, "From day one it was my favorite song on the record." "The Truth" is on Aldean's album "Wide Open." It's his third consecutive number one single from the CD, following "Big Green Tractor" and "She's Country." "The Truth" is Monroe's first chart-topping hit. |
