Godsmack Changes New CD's Name
Godsmack has a new title for their upcoming album. According to a video posting at Rockpit.com, the group has dropped the onetime moniker "Saints & Sinners" in favor of "The Oracle." In the clip frontman Sully Erna explains that while he likes the idea behind "Saints & Sinners, after doing a little research he found that it's been done before and he wanted something fresh. The singer also says that title, when placed together with the band's name, had a religious overtone which isn't what the disc is about. Erna adds that the new title, "The Oracle," shares its name with an instrumental track on the album, which he says is the epitome of all rock songs and borrows from some familiar transitions. Godsmack's "The Oracle" is due next month. |
