Way to go Joe! By: Carol Dunn |

The Vice President debate has come and gone, and Joe Biden has again proved why he is the perfect choice to be Barack Obama’s Vice President. Joe’s performance at the debate was beyond stellar. He not only demonstrated that he had a command of the most important issues of our time, but he also proved that he could govern himself as not to give the other side a opening to claim any type of inappropriate comment to Sarah Palin, which would have been very easy to do.
Sarah Palin couldn’t leave her talking points which became very clear as the night progressed. Joe on the other hand, didn’t seem to be delivering talking points. Everything he said seemed to be unrehearsed and authentic. The more he spoke, the more comfortable I became with him and the more I believed in his and Obama’s ability to lead the country in the right direction.
A McCain presidency has been called the third term of George Bush, but ironically, Palin is much more reminisce of George Bush. Both are so inept that when they don’t trip over their own feet, we’re pleasantly surprised and can say they are performing better than we expected. Both have no understanding of issues outside of their own party. If the topic is not abortion, gays, guns or God, they have no clue and can’t offer any insight that might be helpful or actionable.
That’s where Joe really shined. He proved that he not only understood the problems facing the nation, but also that he had the working knowledge to work through the problems and to change the country so that we again focus on the people and not the corporate interest.
Congratulations Joe Biden on a successful win at the debate and for doing such an incredible job representing the Democratic Party and free thinking people everywhere. I look forward to the Obama/Biden administration and what it will mean for the country. Your performance at the debate only reinforced what I already believed; you and Barack are the right people in the right place at the right time.
Thank you for an incredible job. You have made us proud and reminded us of how great the country could be. I am looking forward to your leadership as the nations next Vice President.
